At Cornerstone Bible Church of the Nazarene , we believe making disciples of Christ is a process that every believer must constantly develop in order to become a fully committed follower of Jesus.
First, it starts with the HEART. As we commit our hearts to God by receiving Jesus into our lives, we shall continually make a habit of meeting together (Hebrews 10:25) in WORSHIP on the Lord's day to celebrate the wonders and character of God in the loving relationship through Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19.)
Secondly, we shall continue to get our HEAD right and renew our minds in God's WORD. We encourage every believer to make a habit of reading the Scripture and attend Bible fellowship regularly. By connecting with other believers, we develop a deeper relationship of supporting and encouraging one another in faith. The Bible tells us, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowed with thankfulness." (Colossians 2:6-7.)
Thirdly, every member of the church should be a helping HAND in ministry. The WORK of ministry cannot be done by church leadership alone. Every member is a minister who can serve in the body of Christ which is the church in some capacities. The Scripture tells us that it was Christ who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip God's people for work of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up...(Ephesians 4:11-13.)
Last, certainly not least, ministry of the church should not be litmited within the four walls of building. As salt cannot be useful and no impact unless it is out of salt-shaker. Every believer needs to go (FEET) into the world around us and make a regular WITNESS to non-believers for the sake of SHARING the Gospel of salvation in Christ. In His Great Commission, Jesus commands His disciples, "Go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19).
