Spending time reading God's word is vital for a believer's spiritual health.
"...Every morning he makes me eager to hear what he is going to teach me." Isaiah 50:4b TEV
Someone said about making a habit of reading the Bible regularly, "Either sin will keep you from this Book or this Book will keep you from sin."
Although every number represents a soul, at Cornerstone Bible Church we train people to be Communers instead of Consumers. In other words, we'd like to see people to be Christlike Disciples more than just Customers. The best way we can do this is to ground our people in God's Word.
Whatever is in the Book, we apply it.
God says, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV)
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" (Matthew 4:4 NIV)
The Apostle Paul wrote, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV)
